Premier
League in Manchester
For
the first time the Premier League was held in Manchester at
Manchester Bridge Club on Saturday 31st Oct to Sunday 1st
November. This event was one weekend of three of trials for the
England Camrose team. Most of the best players in England were
participating. A packed Manchester Bridge Club saw some
interesting deals for those who turned up to watch, many more saw
matches on BBO. John Hassett and Bill Hirst maintained a narrow
lead at the top of the Division with Chris Dixon and Victor
Silverstone, while Michael Byrne and Mike Bell were lying in third
place as part of the Rosen team.![]() Alan
