Manchester Club Evenings Every Tuesday in 2012 (except Dec 25th) New members always welcome Join us for a sociable evening playing backgammon in pleasant surroundings. All standards are welcome, from beginners to champions. No membership fee - optional small prize pool each evening. We meet every Tuesday 7.00 pm onward - Tournament starts at 7.30 pm prompt. On knock out evenings it is possible to join in secondary tounaments even if you arrive late (up to about 10 pm). We aim to finish between 10.30 to 11 pm Tournament format depends on evening: First, second, third and fifth Tuesdays are 3 round KO format. Fourth Tuesday is 1 point all play all format. Please bring your own board if you have one. All tournaments count towards the Club Champion Trophy awarded to the player with the most points at the end of the year. There are optional pools for all competitions. £1 to £3 from each week's pool is put towards prizes/trophies for the club championship. There is an 11 point Knock Out competition throughout the year. Meetings are held at the Moor Club - 35, Heaton Moor Road, Stockport SK4 4PB Enter the club via the middle door if open, otherwise via left hand door. There is an intercom; say you're here for the backgammon, we meet in the front bar on your right.
